Do I have a chance of being employed if I failed to mention driving infractions – Post Office.?

Alright, I applied for the Postal Office about a month ago and a day later I received an email stating that they wanted more information and to fill out all background information and that they would obtain a background check. Well part of the email requested driving infractions but specific dates and locations were required, since these infractions occured over 3 years ago when I was living in Florida and Connecticut, I did not know the dates nor the specific locations so I did not list any. The infractions were not that big of a deal. Do you think I will be deleted from there system or do I have a chance and should I call the post master and plead my case? I know I seem like a liar but that is not it.

What type of job did you apply for with the USPS? City carrier or rural carrier? You need a good driving record for those positions. You need to “correct” the information ASAP if you want to be considered for the position. They will performa a background check and will get the information. It doesn’t matter how long ago the infractions occurred. And if I remember correctly, they can go back more than 3 years.
