As a writer, I spent years looking for free marketing techniques that could help me sell my books. As an author struggling early, I had no idea at first, even how to begin. Almost 2 years after the publication of my first book, I can say with confidence I found six techniques that have attracted my book sales, and we will work for you too. I'll even give you a technique that I find myself collected no sales at all!
1. Provide a monthly newsletter that has content useful addition to accurate information about your books. I found to have a newsletter that offers something both to potential readers, authors and either budding or already published has increased my membership newsletter and sold most of my books.
2. Offers free readings. One thing that both as a reader and a writer I will stand and be careful; offer me something useful for free. People like getting something for free! My only advice regarding This is simply to certain that what you offer is high quality. If you offer a story that you wrote 10 years ago, which does not reflect your current writing style polished, it's not going to help book sales to your current books. Either write something new, or refine something you've already written so that it reflects your current style.
3. Have at least one of your bed is available free from your publisher. Some publishers writers give the possibility to propose stories for everyone. Fans and potential readers do not scan the book catalogs free bed, and sometimes publishers announce free readings too. Here below are some very reputable organizations there, as Coffee Time Romance (also examining all the different genres and even non-fiction, not just romance) and The Romance Studio to name two.
Strangely, the technique that I will not include sales of many books that I am aware, and that many beginning writers try is to send bookmarks with information on their books to book conferences. I even heard horror stories about authors who had friends who were at the conference to talk about how they saw the bookmarks of other people on the ground or in the trash. If you can you can feather or calendars or other more original / different jobs that are more likely to be caught and taken home made then by all means do so and send these items. From what I heard if bookmarks are not getting picked over.
If you follow six techniques I've listed here, you find your book sales n'augmentent, and you'll have many new readers as well pleased!
